Publishers Group Worldwide sells to the spectrum of book retailers, wholesalers, and specialist retailers, and interacts with the marketplace much like a major publisher, performing many of the functions that large, integrated publishers manage in-house. Each company within the Publishers Group Worldwide organization
provides complete, professional distribution services for client publishers, including
sales and marketing, customer service, warehousing and fulfillment, billing and
collections, and sales and inventory reporting.
Worldwide International Sales
PGW's international sales office in New York City represents a significant number of
its U.S. client publishers directly in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia, Latin
America and the Caribbean. The office works in conjunction with dedicated or commissioned
sales reps who are seasoned professionals in their respective markets.
Customers in these territories are serviced on a regular basis through regular visits,
meetings at major book fairs, and mailings. Shipments are made out of PGW’s
U.S. distribution center. All territories not specified by the divisions below are
handled through this office.
Canada
Publishers Group Canada (PGC)
As
the Canadian distribution affiliate of PGW, PGC represents the majority of publishers
distributed by PGW in the United States and provides a similarly high level of sales, marketing, and distribution expertise. PGC's sales and
marketing staffs are based in Toronto and the company is a division of the Vancouver-based Raincoast Books.

As part of the Perseus Books Group, our UK division represents select PGW clients
in the United Kingdom. PBG's UK sales, marketing, and publicity staffs are based in
London and service all the national key accounts (Waterstones, Borders, Amazon.co.uk,
etc.), independent booksellers, libraries, and academic and gift/specialty accounts.
Fulfillment to the UK customer base is handled out of Grantham Book Services (GBS).
